I clearly have too much time on my hands...well at least I guess I spend way tooo much time in my car commuting - but my car serves as a think tank, an escape from everyone else and everything - just me - the road - and my music...(traffic is easily muted by the music if you let it!)
Anyway...I believe I am on to something.
I started thinking after Trent Reznor posted a quick 'check' note to all.
One being a comment about a shitty review he received by some schmuck from Pitchfork Media.
He goes on to state 'Everything going as planned', so I'm thinking...'hmmm - there something amiss. there's another clue here..'
Now - the actual review states (as do quite a few people) that the new album sounds more like a soundtrack to a movie (which isn't necessarily a bad thing - now is it? IT'S A GREAT ALBUM!
So I continued pondering and started going over everything NIN over the last 2 months...
Ok, that said..I started thinking..hmm...well hold on: coincidence:
July 25 - NIN kicks off tour in PEMBERTON BC
July 25 - X-Files sequel opens (YEAH!)
this film had been filmed on location in PEMBERTON BC!
The premise of the new movie is more supernatural and in line with the 'monster of the week' theme.
The NIN album is titled GHOSTS - can't get much more supernatural than that now can we?
Trent makes note of something secret he is working on - CHECK...
I would be a happy camper if GHOSTS or some of GHOSTS tracks were part of the soundtrack to this movie! TWO OF THE BEST THINGS IN THE WORLD paired up!
