The theory ...

I had posted on the nin blog - but the damn thing is so slow with almost 4000 posts on it -

I need to remember this - cause I like it and will continue to ponder this...
I had mentioned the towers of hanoi about 3,000 posts ago under anon (by accident) and then under Rebecca - no one's picked up my cue - so I really think I am going crazy - but I seriously can't stop my brain from pondering - it has a mind of it's own ... ba dum dum...

re: 3 pics and titles posted on Nin.com...thank you Trent Reznor...

This is driving me crazy…and I’m over- thinking this I’m sure -
This trip we’ve been on for the last week and half – take a step back and look at it from a different perspective. Because I am not a gear head, and didn’t pay attention in high school, I just can’t deep into the world of mathematics, and codes, etc. So I have looked at this in the only way I know how – from a life perspective, philosophical level.

Pic 1 – from the future with snip it of his eye – maybe the eye means him, you, me everyone as ‘I’ and place in the world. The seat next to him is empty – maybe that is I you me we are in the passenger seat. Could mean anything – haven’t connected that dot yet….

2nd pic inside the cab yes – but in the distance towers. With title ‘overtones’ = harmonics, another layer = maybe we are the layers, or harmonics in his world, an added frequency, stemming from the same fundamental source, but not the same…

3rd pic ‘gray coding’ – the method for solving the Towers of Hanoi problem – hence the towers from the ‘overtones’. In relation to the Towers of Hanoi there is also an Indian legend called the Towers of Brahma – somewhere in an Indian temple there are three worn posts surrounded by 64 golden discs. The legend tells a story of the Brahma priests moving the discs each day in accordance to the gray code method – progressing towards solving the ‘puzzle’. Once the puzzle is solved it is said that the end of the world will come. SOO - What if we are the gray code – each one of us moving 1 day at a time towards a common goal living in this world solving life’s mysteries – micro this down even more – maybe our own personal lives can be related to the Towers of Hanoi puzzle – we, after all, are puzzles trying to figure our way in life – and each step we take progresses to the next day until we die.

Maybe – the focus isn’t on the picture itself – there are clues and distractions within these pictures – but usually the answers are so obvious we miss it – there are so many different things to focus on in these pictures like the last one- 4 dimmed ‘gray’ windows all others lit – that could be there just to provide chaos to the mix and distract from the true meaning.

I don’t know – even if Mr. Rez didn’t intend to send this message – he’s still brilliant – because, the fact of the matter is he did.
Don’t know – but it’s brilliant.
So maybe we are the gray code….
